Dalia Shahata
Science Teacher/Facilitator
After completing a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from The King’s University, Dalia went on to complete a B.Ed. in Secondary Education majoring in Biology and minoring in Physical and Natural Sciences from the University of Alberta. Among other smaller accomplishments, and as reinforcement of her belief in lifelong learning, she also recently certified as a Project Management Professional. She has experience teaching maths and sciences in the upgrading program in MacEwan University, in various grades with Edmonton Public Schools, as well as in NSW Australia. Dalia has a passion not just for teaching science, but to make it tangible, applicable, relatable, and just bring science to life!

In her homelife, Dalia is a wife and homeschooling mom to 2 boys. After trying traditional schooling for a few years, they have embraced homeschooling, have come to appreciate the quality time spent together and feel blessed for having the opportunity to be brought closer as a family, surrounded by God’s love and care. Dalia and her family are active members of the St. Mary and St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Edmonton.
